ESME - Mission statement

ESME is a unique professional European non-profit organization whose purpose is to collect know-how in the domain of ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis)/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). ESME will offer prominent scientists in this field a professional framework to enhance scientific research and will educate medical personnel, patients and the public about this illness.

 Mission statement

“ESME’s mission is to create a Think Tank where top scientists from relevant fields can discuss current ME knowledge in order to determine the most crucial direction of future research, and to provide a reliable source of cutting-edge ME information that ESME will incorperate in the education of medical professionals.”

 

Objectives 

·         Stimulate fundamental & clinical scientific research 

·         Inform and train doctors, other medical personnel, patients & public

·         Promote cooperation between EU & international partners 

·         Provide professional & uniform information

·         Ensure professionalism in all layers of ME business

   

Time frame 

·         Phase 1: Multidisciplinary Scientific Think Tank 

·         Phase 2: European Conferences 

·         Phase 3: European Centers of Excellence 

·         Phase 4: International Extension 

·         Phase 5: Stimulate Clinical Trials
