"[Curcumin] has been proven to exhibit remarkable anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties."(1) Nearly 700 studies from all around the world confirm the remarkable properties of this ancient spice. It is showing amazing potential for support of the body's defenses against a wide variety of ills and diseases including Alzheimer's, cancer, arthritis, diabetes and multiple sclerosis to name a few. Curcumin is the primary component of turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) and is what gives the spice its rich yellow color. Native to southern India and Indonesia, turmeric is the star ingredient in curry and is widely used in Indian cuisine. In addition to its uses as a condiment, food coloring and textile dye, turmeric has been utilized as a healing remedy in Ayurvedic medicine for more than 4,000 years, treating everything from cuts and sores to gastrointestinal pain, rheumatism and liver disorders.

Clinical trials have shown SAM-e to be comparable to prescription antidepressants for depression and as effective as NSAIDs for osteoarthritis. But, as SAM-e supports the body's natural mood and inflammation modulating functions, it doesn't have all the negative side effects associated with those drugs.

Hydroxocobalamin is a natural and uniquely powerful form of vitamin B-12. Clinical studies and practice have shown it can help to improve cognitive functioning, fight fatigue, promote heart health, and more. Vitamin B-12 is an essential nutrient needed to make red blood cells that carry oxygen throughout the body, the myelin sheath that surrounds nerve cells, and various proteins. It also plays a role in fat and carbohydrate metabolism. Yet, despite its importance to overall health, vitamin B-12 deficiency is relatively common. It is estimated that up to 15% of the general population may be deficient in B-12 - and more among those with chronic illnesses.

In ME/CFS subjects, we found significant positive correlations between the omega3/omega6 ratio and lowered serum zinc levels and the lowered mitogen-stimulated CD69 expression on CD3+, CD3+ CD4+, and CD3+ CD8+ T cells, which indicate defects in early T cell activation.
